Urgency

There is a critical window to make sure your student is positioned for the scores that matter most to selective colleges.

Our AP Test Prep program pairs students with an expert 1-on-1 tutor who will:

  • Identify gaps with a diagnostic assessment

  • Build a personalized study plan targeting their weak spots

  • Practice full-length exams with proven test-taking strategies

  • On average, raise scores by a full point

Most students see the best results starting 5–8 weeks before exam day.

Grade Inflation

Here's something most families don't realize until it's too late: in a world of grade inflation, over 70% of AP students earn As in their AP classes, but only 5–20% score a 5 on the actual exam.

Our AP Test Prep program provides:

  • Subject-specific 1-on-1 tutoring aligned to the College Board curriculum

  • Targeted practice in exactly the areas your student needs most

  • Average improvement of one full point per exam

  • A Tutoring Coordinator who keeps your student accountable and on track

We offer prep for the following AP subjects:

  • English

  • History

  • Math

  • Science and Technology

AP Scores Matter

I wanted to flag something that often gets overlooked: AP Exam scores can meaningfully impact college admissions — especially at selective schools.

At Harvard, admitted students averaged 6 AP Exams with a 4.7 score, while applicants who weren’t admitted averaged 4 exams with a 4.3. Emory now weighs AP scores more heavily than GPA. And at UCLA and UC Berkeley, AP scores can play a direct role in admissions since they don't accept SAT/ACT scores.

The challenge? Only about 13–20% of students earn 5s on common AP exams, and 4s are also in short supply — even among students with As in their classes.

Quick Thought

With AP Exams, I wanted to share something I discuss with many of my families.

Most selective colleges encourage applicants to submit AP scores, and schools like Johns Hopkins, Emory, and the UCs factor them directly into admissions decisions. Strong scores — 4s and 5s — can genuinely tip the scales, especially when so few students earn them.

I work with a team of exceptional AP Exam Prep tutors who provide structured, one-on-one sessions tailored to each student's needs. They recommend starting 5–8 weeks before the exam, so the timing is right.

How it works

AP exams this May are one of the last opportunities to earn credits that could save thousands in tuition, place them in advanced courses, or give them a lighter course load in their first semester.

Most selective colleges require a 4 or 5 for credit, and the ideal time to prepare is 5–8 weeks out.

Here's exactly how our AP Test Prep program works:

1️⃣ Onboarding — We match your student with a subject-expert tutor and a Tutoring Coordinator who sets a timeline and goals tailored to their target score.

2️⃣ Share Materials — Your student shares their syllabus, past tests, and any problem areas so the tutor can focus where it counts most.

3️⃣ Introductory Session — An initial assessment identifies strengths and gaps so no session is wasted on material they already know.

4️⃣ Weekly Sessions — Regular 1-on-1 sessions cover content review, essay and free-response coaching, and timed multiple-choice practice.

5️⃣ Exam Readiness — Final sessions focus on pacing, full-length mock exams, and walking in with confidence on test day.

Students typically complete 10–20 sessions and improve by a full point on average. This is often the difference between getting credit and getting nothing.

Seniors:The time is now

ROI

Here's what's at stake: most selective colleges require a 4 or 5 to grant credit — and at schools like Yale, Princeton, and Georgetown, even some 4s don't qualify. A single AP credit can be worth thousands of dollars in tuition savings and can allow your student to skip introductory courses and jump straight into classes they actually want to take.

Our AP Test Prep program gives:

  • Expert 1-on-1 tutoring in their specific AP subject(s)

  • A diagnostic assessment to target exactly where they need help

  • Full-length practice exams and proven test strategies

  • Average improvement of one full point per exam

Most students complete 10–20 sessions and begin 5–8 weeks before exam day. Now is the time to get started.

Save Money

One opportunity worth thinking about: earning college credit through AP Exams in May.

Here's the catch — most selective colleges require 4s or 5s to award credit, and some departments only accept 5s. At Georgetown, for example, Chemistry, English, History, and Statistics all require a 5. Meanwhile, only 13–20% of students nationally earn 5s on common exams.

The right preparation can make a real difference. I work with expert AP tutors who provide focused, one-on-one sessions designed to boost scores. Starting 5–8 weeks before the exam is ideal, so now is the time.

Every credit earned through AP is a credit your student won't have to pay college tuition for. Happy to share more details if you're interested.

Prepare for College-Level

The content mastery your student builds between now and May could make a real difference in how they perform from day one.  With AP tutoring, students show up to college ready.

College-level coursework moves fast. Students who arrive having genuinely mastered AP-level material tend to feel far more confident in their first-semester classes.

Our AP Test Prep program gives your student expert-guided preparation that goes beyond test scores:

  • Deep content mastery in the subjects they'll actually use in college

  • Stronger academic habits and study strategies built for college rigor

  • Command of essay writing, free response, and analytical thinking

A Tutoring Coordinator & subject-expert tutor keeping them on track.

Quick Thought

AP Exams are a real opportunity to arrive at college with credit already on the books.

The key is scoring high enough. Schools like Yale, Princeton, and Michigan typically require 4s or 5s — and some subjects require a 5.

With the right preparation, students can often raise their scores by a full point.

I have AP Exam Prep tutors available for one-on-one sessions starting now.
